My surf days are all about having fun, building confidence, improving your surfing and making new friends in a friendly, relaxed and supportive environment.
Whether you’re new to surfing and want to tick it off your bucket list, or want to target a specific area of your surfing, you can expect a day packed with waves and plenty of stoke!
We start at 10am and finish at 5pm. The day is flexible around the tide times and conditions but includes:
- 2 hour surf lesson
- Theory on the beach
- Yoga session
- 1 hour for lunch
- Q&A time
On some of the surf days, I’ll be joined by one or more female surf coaches. You’ll get input from fully qualified instructors and experienced surfers, helping you every step of the way!
What you’ll learn
The pre-surf beach session gives me chance to find out where you’re at with your surfing, and if there’s something specific you want to work on. It could be anything from perfecting your pop-up, to dropping in on unbroken waves and turning. If you’re new to surfing, I’ll take you through the fundamentals including how to pop-up, catch waves and the all important safety aspects of surfing.
What you’ll need to bring
Surfing equipment will be available to hire on the day, but if you have your own board and wetsuit, feel free to bring it with you.
In addition, you’ll need:
- Towels for getting changed
- Swimsuit or bikini to wear under your wetsuit
- Fresh drinking water
- Proof of purchase / gift vouchers
- Weather appropriate clothing – sometimes it’s a little chilly between surfs
- Clothing suitable for outdoor yoga
- Packed lunch
- Cash for lunch and/or photos.
- Optional extras
If you don’t want to bring your own lunch, make sure you bring cash to purchase food on the day, there are lovely cafes at all the locations.
You can also buy photos from the surf day from our professional surf photographer, Checkered Photography. There’s a £10 fee for this which you can pay directly to Sarah.
